Ingredients

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Take a medium-sized pan and keep it on a low flame, melt the butter in it.
  2. Add in ricotta cheese and mix it well with butter till the cheese melts.
  3. Now add the sweetener into the mix and keep stirring the mixture, to make sure the mixture does not burn and stick to the pan.
  4. Now add a half cup of protein powder into the pot, and wait for the mixture to get thickened. Keep mixing the mix well, to ensure there are no lumps. Add the remaining powder after that.
  5. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes. After the mixture gets thick and lumpy, add in the vanilla essence and cardamom powder and stir it to become a good mix.
  6. Keep the mixture aside to let it cool.
  7. After the mixture is cool, you can make medium-sized 20 to 25 balls or pedas from it. To shape balls, grease your palms with a little butter or ghee. Start shaping the lumpy mixture into balls and press the balls slightly in from the middle to give them an ideal shape.
  8. Now top each ball with chopped or whole almonds, it is optional.
  9. Before serving, let the balls defrost in the fridge overnight.  Now you can have them as a perfect after dinner sweet course.

You can store the Keto Indian Malai Peda in the refrigerator for up to a week.
