Every morning I walk to my workplace. We are talking about 3.3 km of moderately hilly terrain. It takes me 45 minutes to reach and I absolutely enjoy it. After a month of walking, I realized that in order to continue this schedule, I would require comfortable and apt walking shoes.

I picked Nike Free 5 and am absolutely happy with them. I have worn them in the winters and I’m continuing to wear them, and there are no signs of wear at all. I wear them every day, and they look and feel just as new.

A wise man had once said that shoes should be retired after a certain hundred miles. If you do two miles per day and a day per two-day weekend, then a good pair of shoes should be retired by the end of the third year. Be it a sunny, cloudy or rainy day, I never step out of my home without applying sunscreen. I am very happy with Neutrogena because only a pea-sized amount is enough and gets absorbed very quickly in the skin. The fragrance is extremely mild, and it is SPF50, what else could one ask for. It doesn’t make my face look sticky and is also sweat proof.

The next Keto Gear is sunglasses. When I used to walk briskly, my previous glasses used to slip off my nose and I just couldn’t wear them when jogging. But I have no such problem with my Oakley’s. They always stay put no matter what. I have tried shaking my head vigorously, they don’t budge at all. They might seem a little overpriced to some, but I can tell you from my experience that they are worth it. I love Oakleys for the reason that they look retro-styled and chic at the same time.

I cannot think of going for a brisk walk without wearing my Compression Tee from Under Armour. It is absolutely comfortable and has not pilled till date. The material is very soft and even when I am walking really fast it does not ride up. The hem is really thick, and it’s great for layering in winter. The sweat-wicking technology is what makes it an excellent buy. The compression fit feels very snug with the muscles, and the stretch material only aids in mobility. When I move out in this tee, I do not worry about chafing at all.

 

Nike+ Stand Alone Sensor Kit

 

While on the diet, counting each every calorie is a must. The pedometer from Nike does exactly that. I just put it in the sock liner of my shoes and forget all about it. At the end of the week, the figures were much more precise. I use it to measure speed, time, calories and distance traveled.
