It turns out, my friend from Mumbai had sent me a year’s supply of Sauté Dried Shrimps, including both large and small varieties, as well as Mackerel and Bombay Duck Fish.
Being a seafood enthusiast, this thoughtful gift brought me immense joy. Now, armed with an abundance of dried shrimps, I’ve immersed myself in researching and experimenting with Keto-friendly recipes that can showcase these delectable goodies. Today, I’m excited to share a simple and delightful recipe featuring dried mini shrimps. Found easily in coastal towns and known for their affordability, dried shrimps are a versatile ingredient that can be transformed into mouthwatering dishes.
They are incredibly easy to cook and absolutely delicious to eat. So, next time your mom goes shopping, don’t forget to ask her to grab a small bag of these flavorful gems. You can store them in an airtight container, ensuring they are readily available whenever you crave a change from your usual chicken and bacon options.
Recipe of Keto Saute Dried Shrimps
Equipment
- Wok
- Container

Ingredients
- 30 gms Dried Mini Shrimps
- 30 gms Chopped Onions
- 2 tsp Ghee
- Pinch of Turmeric Powder
- White and Pink Salt, according to taste
- ¼ tsp Mustard Seeds, whole
- ¼ tsp Chilly powder Optional
- Dried Curry leaves, few
Instructions
- In a wok heat the ghee.
- Drop the mustard seeds, lower the heat and add the curry leaves.
- Next add the chopped onions, saute till they change colour.
- Add the salt, turmeric, red chilly powder. Saute on low heat.
- Drop the shrimps in the wok and lower the heat.
- Now add a dash of water, cover and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Tip: A small note, I must share with you that when you are cooking the shrimps they have a very strong smell. So if the rest of the family is not a shrimp lover. Cooking when nobody at home is probably the best idea — Priya Dogra.
