Hi, this is Fitness Radio Episode 3, and you are back with Priya Dogra. So continuing our discussion about how fat people live and think because I was a fat person some time ago so what happens when you have been fat for a very long time. And I am using the word fat very freely which might offend a few people but fat is fat calling it overweight, obese does not change it. If you are fat you are fat.
So there comes a stage in your life when you want to stop being fat and you look for solutions so your start looking around you; you start looking at options around you and you want to do something about it so let’s call this episode the will to make a change. Because you can continue being fat all your life and you know you think I am ok till the time no doctors telling me to start some have medicines or I just can’t move from the bed, what’s wrong with me it Ok, I am living life to the fullest. But there always comes a stage when you want to do something about it.
Research about the ways you can lose weight, read success stories of real people who have lost weight exceptionally. They will motivate you but remember they are just exceptions. You need to keep realistic goals. It will take time to lose weight. When you have gained it over 20 years how can you expect it to go in 20 days? So keep realistic goals and do your research before you jump into something.
Whatever works for your friend or neighbor might not work for you. Things that have worked for other people might work for you for a few days. Ultimately what will for you is your own will power.
Things you should do to lose weight
- Be confident about yourself
- Don’t feel embarrassed if people calling you fat, take it as a motivation
- Make Realistic goals
- Tell yourself that you want to do it for your better health
- Tell yourself that you want to look good again
- There are no shortcuts for losing weight
- You can’t skip the procedure of losing weight
- Do not blindly follow any diet or other’s diet
- Take motivation from real people who lost several kgs in real life
- Start your day with a glass of lemon water with honey in it
Half of the battle is in your mind. If you decided in your mind that you want to look good I want to do this I wan tot lose weight then nobody can change your mind about it.
Tell yourself that I want to do it for myself. I want to do it for myself, not for the society kids or anyone else. Please do it for yourself. You will feel good about yourself. That feeling is your victory. I want you to experience that victory. I have experienced that victory and want you to experience it. When the swelling in my feet and toenails went away I wanted to walk. I started feeling good about myself.
You can do it. Just make up your mind.
